The Synapse Carbon's frame is built with Cannondale's own BallisTec carbon fiber, ensuring extremely low weight and an incredible ride quality. The overall fit and geometry of the Synapse Carbon allows a wider range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable. Shimano's lightning-fast 11-speed 105 components are found throughout the drivetrain, including the dual-control levers and the derailleurs. An alloy 50/34T compact crankset and 11-34T Shimano cassette boast a wide gearing range to help deal with fearsome inclines. Shimano's hydraulic disc brakes ensure confident stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine. Tubeless-ready alloy wheels are shod with 700x28c Vittoria Zaffiro semi-treaded tires, offering a smooth ride and excellent grip on choppy tarmac.
